Did anyone have an occurrence around the crashed hive ship area, Upon where enemies flooded out of a small room to it's far left side near the cliff?
I had this happen and they weren't just simple Hive and Fallen level 5's. They were bloody Hallowed knights, Acolytes and Thralls.. In addition to level 9 Fallen Vandels Pirates and Dregs.. They were fighting each other as usual with the area but I'd never seen such a massive spawn rate of such magnitude in such a small area..
Can anyone confirm what I'm talking about.. Yes this was at night time..
I got killed a total of 7 times or so. It was awesome!!

Fallen spawned out of the cave near the Helis. Layed em down with my HMG. When they started coming out with Orange shields had to switch to a fire weapon. Ended up making a cool 1000 Glimmer for four minutes of work

I've also saw this a few times. Freaking crazy fun

One of my favorite parts of destiny so far. There's also a warsat you can get there that will queue the war to start. Epic!

Use an Episeed or whatever they're called and here comes the Glimmer rolling in.

Yea had this happen a few times in that area and it wasnt a public event. a great addition to the game. If you were around before it happened the lower left side where the feed is (like if someone was near or someone in your fire team died) it would say the enemy are advancing on each other. Or something of that nature. Then you knew the fun was about to happen. Every time you killed a strong enemy an even stronger one would come out. Def one of my highlights from the beta

yes this happend to me i got killed twice but they kept rapidly spawning int the cave where i unleashed my fist of havoc

I did a post on this earlier. Absolutely would live to see more of this!

What weapons did you guys use to face the Hive/ Fallen onslaught? I used a Scout rifle and a shotgun. Both had the ability to rapid fire. Every where I laid my reticule was a headshot. I ran out of primary. Switched to my shotgun and got up close and personal with the hives left flank. Little did I know that I had three Vandal Reavers on the ledge where I'd just occupied. I ran dry of special ammo and had only my knife, and swarm grenades. Both were of little use as the darkness quickly found me in the form of a bloody Hive Wizard.

This is only about the 100th or so post about this, which most people knew about before the Beta even started. It was talked about in the IGN First video of 7 things not to miss in the Destiny Beta.

Edited by ITCHYPHOX: 7/30/2014 10:29:43 AMThat was fun. Fireteam in position, spamming concentrated heavy weapons fire, supers & grenades. Once the carnage subsided you couldn't see the cave floor for ammo, orbs & engrams 8)

It was so fun, gunning down waves of fallen and hive and then running away when they were immune, after 10 minutes of constant fighting my friend just said ' wtf was that!?'

This is discussed on many of the weekly updates. Enemy's activity is dictated by the day night cycle. Some are more active at night, (Hive, Fallen), and some are more active during the day. The Cabal are far more active during the day.
