1. Private lobbies: These can be used for a variety of purposes. Some clans are competitive and might want to do clan matches, in house practice sessions etc. Some clans are casual and might just want to have a fun game night with their buddies filling up both teams. Any loot rewards etc will OBVIOUSLY be turned off here so no boosting will be happening. Shouldnt even have to mention that but saw some ppl assuming in another post how ppl will boost with private lobbies smh. 2. A Clan vs Clan playlist where u form up 3-4 and get matched up vs another clan and have clan ranks (bungie seems to have a few 3v3 gametypes already so who knows , personally prefer 4v4) 3. A normal ranked playlist like Halo, basically same as clan v clan but u dont have to be in same clan to play. Right now my biggest fear for this game which i had a ton of fun with in beta (most fun ive had since 2009-2010) is possible lack of competitive options for clans thus forcing clans to eventually look elsewhere to satisfy their needs/get a challenge. Currently i gotta limit my party size during the beta just to make pubs not totally boring. Last time we went in with a full 6 just to test we made the entire team rage quit in less than 5 minutes cuz they couldnt retake a point on Venus that sort of thing is fun for NO ONE. Im punished not being able to play with friends/clan mates etc and randoms are punished by facing an organised group on the other side. Lose - Lose situation for all. Id be happy with just private matches but goin a bit deeper and making it easier for clans to find matches via a playlist with a ranking system so there is something to play for would help a TON. I personally know quite a few clans that are hype for this game but honestly the game doesnt have much wiggle room imo if they dont have support at launch or within 2 months after launch becuz thats when cod and halo mcc drops and clans lookin for action will move to another game most likely those 2 where there will be guaranteed action for organised team play. Ive been asking Bungie for a while now, months actually about possible support of ANY type for clans but nothing :(
