I don't know why people are against trading. If you and you friends want to share an awesome machine gun or bet their primaries on a sparrow race, that increases the social aspect of the game. Instead of you and your friends getting more powerful along side each other, you get more powerful with each other. This is a social activity for a social game, so it would only make sense to implement. It's already balanced by the game because if it's above the person's abilities it'll be locked for them until they have the vanguard rank , or crucible rank or whatever required to use it.

  • Earn your own damn gear so you can show off to noobs and those who suck and can't earn their own gear, trading with items near to equal value, that doesn't sound so bad

  • You say this as of you friends are just going to give you thee awesome stuff. Obviously both parties have to agree to it and if you want to take the stance that you will only use your own head that's your choice. But just because you want to avoid other players loot at all costs, doesn't mean that disallowing all interactions of worth between players is a good idea. Like I said, my friends and I wanted something to bet over a sparrow race bit we couldn't. We wanted to approach a threat and divide up our great so the one of us with two awesome rocket launchers he couldn't use could lend it out. That's called interaction and it's what the game is built on.
