So, I have noticed that the Limited and the Ghost edition have restocked on the gamestop website. I called to make sure and they told me:
-I have to pay FULL price for the preorder
-It ships ON 9/9 not before so it wont arrive at my house on 9/9
Also, Gamestop does not have the ghost edition back in stock for the Xbox One, all the other consoles do
With that said, what do you guys think? I want more for this game, if I have to get the standard, I will be quite upset :/
(you hear that Bungie? I want to give you more money!)
///Update!\\\
It seems like the ghost edition has restocked at gamestop for the Xbox 360 (as of 8/1 Ghost is gone for all consoles)
http://www.gamestop.com/browse?nav=16k-3-Destiny,28zu0
Check again to see if your console has the edition you want. I personally am going to wait to see if the Ghost edition gets restocked for the Xbox One.
Also, im sure that if you order it online, it WONT get to your house on 9/9 because the SHIP it to you on 9/9.
(The poll is to see if you think the other editions will make it back in stores, not online.)
(as of now, 8/1 XB360 & PS3 have limited edition in stock in the gamestop website)
Also, I woke up early on 8/1 and saw that gamestop had IN STOCK Xbox One limited edition, so yes, it is restocking... Online... But within 3 hours it was sold out again.

The LE and GE occasionally get restocked on Amazon. Then again, this may possibly be stock the are slowly posting until they run out.
-
No because theyre named limited and ghost edition for a reason
-
I just snagged my ghost edition from amazon, now i gotta cancel my LE gamstop preorder
-
I see all of these threads about people wanting more ghost editions. I think they should make more but they aren't bungie said it them selfs in a tweet. They scalped and sold so many on ebay and they just take them from fans it's sad.
-
Edited by sergeantawesome: 8/4/2014 6:56:02 PMActivision cancelled some ghost edition pre orders because they don't want to make anymore. Once they are gone they're gone.
-
BestBuy had some in stock for me when I personally went to the store. Thing is people are more pro-Gamestop which is understandable. No exclusive Sparrow for me, but Ghost Edition makes up for that.
-
1. They don't "restock" as people will sometimes cancel their pre order or there will be an error in inventory. Once the LTD and ghost editions are printed, that's it. Bungie may still be deciding how much each retailer gets. Also, places like Amazon and GameStop BUY the editions and sell them to you. They're retailers, that's what they do to make money. Bungie may have more just unsold, and places buy xxx amount, get it sold out to create demand, buy xx more, then watch those copies get sold because people REALLY want them. Repeat cycle until Bungie sells all of it's LTD and ghost editions to GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc., etc. All this crap about "it's restocked, buy it NOW!" is a genius idea. It helps ensure retailers and Bungie that they'll sell all of their stock. 2. I'm surprised GameStop isn't guaranteeing you get the game by street date. Heck I've seen that available for much smaller and niche titles.

Good thing I snagged me a LE a few weeks ago :)
-
I had to resort to Ebay, took a while before a "reasonably" priced european version appeard with global shipping.
-
I went to gamestop last night and they said i have to pay full price right there but it would be shipped, after getting out the money they said it was out of stock and my dreams were crushed
-
No more limited editions on the ps4 :( I guess Ill have to go with the digital edition
-
No they will not restock they wanted it to be limited that's why it's already sold out
-
I managed to snipe one of the last ones available in Colorado. I called over 20 Gamestops before finding one that had a SINGLE limited left. I payed for it in full over the phone >.<

Edited by Joydaev: 8/1/2014 12:09:28 PMWhat happens to the ghost edition copies gamestop has if they are cancelled? Do they disappear until launch, or become pre orderable at that local gamestop?
-
I'd say your best bet is to head over to eBay to get a Ghost Edition... for $300 or more. That's where I had to get mine last week.
-
I'm heading to my local GameStop to see if I can make a pre-order there. I'd much rather get a "Ghost Edition" for the retail price in person rather than have it delivered to me for $300+
-
I'm fine with standard edition with the expansions pass. The preorder bonuses are the only things I really want. Other than that, the best stuff will be from in game anyway. And I don't need any more clutter in my room. If Destiny 2 looks even bigger and better, then I'll get the limited maybe
-
Yeah they look pretty sold out to be still, they only seem to have the Limited edition for the 360 and PS3 though.
-
If need be good sir I would look at getting the digital deluxe comes with all the same digital items as the ghost edition just none of the physical items.
-
There is a reason it's called limited edition lol
-
really hope they restock the limited edition. want one so bad
-
Bump for the update.
-
Digital dude! You get Destiny the minute it comes out, you have a special ghost, and the rest of the in game collector shizz, it's perfect!

It's a "Limited" edition, which means you should have gotten it earlier.
