In posting this, I understand their is a potential to farm. However, I like the idea of having one, if not two, extra options when selecting a mission that scale with your level. This would mean that you'd always have an option that matched your level and possibly one that exceeded it by about three levels. I believe this to be important because I truly enjoy many of the missions because of the situationd they put you in but lament the loss of a challenge once the heroic mode becomes simply another normal option. You could also, instead of matching levels, could merely have (after having beat all of other difficulty modes) optional modifiers you could add to the mission on top of the pre-existing difficulty that would change certain aspects of the game. These modifiers could play similarly to skulls from Halo. One could drastically increase the occurences of elite versions of normal enemies. One could add shields to each enemy except dregs and thralls. One could make ammo more scarce. One could make you easier to kill. This would also allow for a score table/leaderboards to be added where the difficulty and modifiers would add to the score or take away from it. Unlike the first suggestion, modifiers would make it unnecessary to scale the dropped gear to the levels, meaning people would still be inclined to do higher level content first but come back to lower end content for the fun modifed challenge and possibly increased chances of rare loot but loot that was still scaled to that missions level. Thanks so much for your time, Kraft P.S Since I absolutely love the explore mode in Destiny, it taking up far more of my time than even PvP, it'd be nice to see a form of scaling in the missions you pick-up based on the amount of missions you've taken in the past in that area. I realise, however, that there are several areas in the Cosmodrome with high level monsters and new high level missions that are simply awaiting some unlevel-capped Guardians to come in an kill 'em all so this suggestion may be useless.
