Persistent centipede errors on sign on after being able to play without issue
[b]Update: If you have been blocked by recurring Centipede errors after having been able to play successfully (#3 below), we are applying a fix that will resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the solution will reset your characters. This is expected to happen over the next few hours. [/b]
WORKAROUND: To ensure that you no longer hit this issue, do not delete characters after using the vault in the tower.

We've been investigating the reports of centipede errors that have been popping up on the forums. There are a few ways you can hit centipede errors.
1. I have never connected and get centipede when I try to sign on
2. I randomly get centipede when I play
[b][u]3. I was able to play just fine, and all of a sudden I get centipede errors all the time and can't sign in[/u].[/b]
1 and 2 appear to be networking issues. This thread is concerned with [b]#3[/b].
#3 is an issue that we're tracking internally that I want to get more info about. Based on user reports and assistance, we identified a timing issue having to do with swapping quickly items between characters using the tower vault. We applied a fix and did some fixup of a number of affected users. However, not all affected users could be fixed up. So we're continuing to investigate solutions. We suspect there may be more ways to hit this error, and we need your help to find them.
If you were at some point able to play [b]after the maintenance period[/b], but then were blocked from signing on due to centipede errors, please reply to this post with the following:
1. Gamertag / Online ID of all affected profiles (send this to me in a PM if you're not comfortable posting this information publicly)
2. What was the last time you were able to properly sign in and play (date, time and time zone)
3. What was the last time you tried to sign in and got centipedes (date, time and time zone)
4. Had you used the account vault at all between being able to play and seeing persistent centipedes?
5. Have you deleted any characters between being able to play and seeing persistent centipedes?
6. if you had not done 4 or 5, please give as detailed an account of your play between when you last played, and when you started seeing centipede errors.

Yupp I'm still getting the centipede error after I posted about 11 hours ago. I don't mind since this is a beta but I just want to know that when I get the full game that I won't get "centipede" again.

after being able to play for a little while, having fun exploring old russia and looking forward to what the moon mission would have been like i cant help but feel let down a little. I know its a beta but I don't feel like this whole centipede/chicken etc situation was handled properly.

#1 - Thunder720 - XBL tag #2 - @330PM - CST --- I was in a Crucible Match and got dropped out - and have seen Centipede errors since then #3 Trying to log in right now - getting a message the servers are at capacity and I am 2854 in line to play (O.o) #4 - uuhh... I don't believe so - I might have used the Vault in the last time I was in Tower about 1300 CST? Maybe? #5 - Negative. Warlock will be my only class at this time. #6 - I first saw the Centipede Error when I was punted from the Crucible match I was playing - Venus Map - 3 point Domination. I got frustrated trying to log back in - I did patch the game - but then stuck in a DVD or 2 and cooked a lasagna for dinner. When I tried to log back in - it patched at that point - and kept spitting Centipede errors at me. I've been trying to research it since about 1830 or connect to the Bungie site and get answers as to what is going on. Now - I am 2854 in line to play. awesome - I should be able to play when most people go to bed.

HyperliteKid Around 5 Eastern (ontario) 8 Eastern No No Was playing devils lair with two others and they disappeared after losing to the devil walker (the spider) weather they quit or were booted I'm not sure proceeded to beat the devil walk by myself and the purple orb( not sure the name) then i went to the tower. unlocked some weapons that i had found and the shut down for supper then tried to log back on but have had no luck

1) Jathjo 2) 4:00ish pm Pacific 7-27-14 3) 5:00 pm Pacific 7-27-14 4) NO 5) NO 6) Downloaded today, started playing about 4pm, got kicked after about 12 minutes of play, while I was about half way through the Russian compound heading toward hanger. Restarted me inside first zone(wall area) with no ammo, had both guns though. Booted me again after going through city doing all the tasks and trying to go into orbit as I was prompted to do. Got CHICKEN several times as I tried to reenter game, then started getting CENTIPEDE several times after I went on line to trouble shoot CHICKEN. At5:05 finally made it into queue #2313, to get error again after 4 minutes, 5:19 got in again queue was 1735, waited about 10 minutes, just loaded for me.

1 Reply1. L1 soundwave L1 2. Around 5 pm. East 3. 7:30 pm. East 4.no 5.no 6. Was playing and left my console on while I took dogs out and ate, console shut down. I signed in around 7:20 pm. And upgraded my characters helmet, weapon, and ability. Signed for my 2nd round of crucible (on the Venus map) shutdown another players streak and was rewarded with networking issue and the centipede error. Several attempts to sign in from that point result in the twisted creepy crawly that is centipede.

Playing for 2 days and maybe 3 to 4 hours ago finish a mission then try to go to "Tower" Place for unscripted arms and weapons. Then it start to crash for error code "Centipede"... Then from that time i'm not able to sign in... not even sign in into game they disconnect me at the main menu after press "start"... So PLEASE BUNGIE FIXE THAT SHIT ISSUES!! Thanks!!

No news on this? I see a couple of people are able to log in once more, but I'm curious if there has been any official word that I've missed?
