As all this loot is linked to a level rank, we won't be able to use it starting out when we get the full game and start fresh anyway, so it offsets issues of balance. As long as the rank is wiped, what is the huge fuss about not allowing loot carryover? A lot if people want their loot. Let them have something. They poured in hours and it's not as unbalanced or absurd a suggestion as keeping their rank.

[/quote] I'm just gonna take all this from dirteshot who had a good long explanation for why the progress shouldn't carry over and add this: [b]The Iron Banner even happened multiple times just for the sake of people getting to play it. Getting to keep whatever high level gear you got from there would make so little sense I'm not gonna even bother to read any attempt at denying this.[/b] Stats carrying over would be fine though I guess, but why would they matter in the first place

1 ReplyI am assuming they will wipe everything. All those exotics that people saw? Bungie allowed that to happen so people could see what they had to look forward to. I am assuming that there is no way a level 8 will be given level 20 exotic weapons in any version of pvp or the game. Getting a drop that is 1 or 2 levels above you is one thing, getting the rarest of rare as a level 8 just does not make sense. I would be completely shocked if the beta wasn't wiped just because of that. It was a preview of things to come. Also, I am pretty sure, but dont quote me on this, that the game leveling was accelerated for the beta. It will take longer to improve your perks/skills (whatever they are called) in the real game than it did in the beta. Because of both of these reasons, among others, I say they should wipe everything!

Maybe grimoire? Burn the rest, who needs it? I understand your disappointment if you acquired any exotics, but you got to expect that when playing a beta.

8 RepliesHonestly I think that a good balance would be to have GEAR be carried over, but have all your stats be reset, becuase I know that there is some gear out there that is harder to get, honestly I LOVE my gear, but I wouldn't mind having to start over my stats, as long as I could end up keeping my gear. Weather that be the gear people put in Vaults, or just keep the gear you have on your character. *shrug* I just think that would be a better balance and or reward for those who took the time to reserve and play in the beta.

Psh, I have a modest proposal...I want to log in on Sept 9th and have all three of my toons at level 20, in full epics, with a added scope that one shot kills anything from other players to spider tanks. I want a grenade I throw and hones in on the closest target, even if their on the closest guy is on the complete other side of the map. I want a sparrow that looks like a 68 Camaro, with dual machine guns on the front with infinite ammo. Also on realease day, it's only fair I can port straight to the last boss and save time with the inevitable. My armor should make me look like Gene Simmons from kiss, my throwing knife is instead a toungue flying out at high speed. To be honestly logical, seeing I preordered, I shouldn't have to buy any items whatsoever. A copy of every epic should be in my vault upon login, and lastly I should receive a personal invitation from Bruce Willis to be on my fireteam, if not Sylvester Stallone as well. All of this better take place or I'm cancelling my preorder as it will be undeniable evidence that bungie doesn't like me & is working with the government against me, cause I'm a boss they can't keep a handle on. Just ask my mom when she's done fixing my underwear.

I couldn't careless about keeping my stats, I just want to keep my items I have collected. Plus they are level locked, so you don't really get an advantage from others who haven't played the beta.

Well betas open to all now so that COULD mean stats carry over or could not.

Ok wipe out the characters but not the stuff in the vault and let us keep the levels we have on the people like crucible and engram ranks.
