Everyone these days feels like they are so entitled to everything and then some and it's from just a few years of "rewards" IRL for things you never got rewarded for in the past. Gas stations, grocery stores, online shops, Best Buy, video games, fast food - you name it - they're all going offering you "rewards" for doing this and that. Buy a burger, get a reward. Pick up milk on the way home - get fuel points. Sign up for an email list - get a discount. It all sounds pretty good - until you realize that now everyone thinks they deserve a reward for everything. I downloaded Destiny and turned it on and killed a devil walker all by myself. WHERE'S MY REWARD? A: Your reward is the satisfaction of killing a devil walker. A: Your reward is the fun of playing a game. A: Your reward is being allowed a sneak peek look at Destiny. A: Your reward is a feeling of accomplishment. I fear that one day soon, kids will want some kind of reward for getting out of bed in the morning and going to school, too stupid to realize that the "reward" for going to school is not being a dumbass your whole life.
