Companion App doesn't have my data says "This account has not played Destiny"

It says "You need to create a character in Destiny" which I have done of course. I deleted and reinstalled the app. I refreshed it. I tried Update Databases. Nothing works. Is this because I have codes for Xbox One and PS4 and the app is only seeing the Xbox One code? Update: I have also found that when I click on my name inside the app it says "This account has not played Destiny"

    I have the same problem. I use the same accounts and everything yet it says I dont have destiny and it doesnt show me my grimore or anything. I know this is a very old thread, so has it been fixed since? If so, what happened?

  • I have exactly the same issue. I'm logging in to the app (and the web) via my Microsoft account, which is the same as for my xbox, but I have exactly the same problem as above.

  • For your app to display your characters, you need to be signed into the same account on the app, as you are on the web, as you are on your console. Do you meet these three requirements? You also must have played the Beta. All alpha content was wiped.

    • I am having the same issue. I have both PS3 and Xbox One linked with beta codes from separate pre-orders. I only linked the PS3 code last night, had no problems with that, the download, or the fantastic game I have been playing. Played a bit this morning as well, probably about 6 hours total between the two sessions. No show on the Companion App, says I have not played Destiny.

What device are you using? I know on the Android it gives an option to delete all the data associated with it that may have been cached with the App. You may want to try that. You also have to remember the Companion App is still a WIP so if you can replicate the bug I would definitely throw it under the "Feedback" section

        All your accounts are linked to your Bungie account correct? The app is still a work in progress I'm sure, so it may be having some issues right now.
