I've only run into like five girls in two years on 360, I'm just curious on what ratio girl gamers are next to boys.

You've probably been with more girls than you realise (online of course). The majority will either not play with a Mic or pose as a male character. The instance they reveal themselves to be of the opposite gender they get bombarded with everything from minor flirts to marriage proposals (in game). Kind makes the game less enjoyable if you spend much of your time muting people.
-
I think the last census for genders in online gamers was 49% female and 51% male. So it ain't that bad.
-
I'm a gull gamer. Does that count? I can't wait to shit all over the lot of you and steal your soggy, vinegar-drowned chips.
-
There are no girls. Older girls are guys. Younger girls are FBI.

My wife cant control a character with anything other than an nes controller and a 2d en environment. Id like to see more girls who play video games as it tends to be pretty male dominated. On a plus note i gave my almost 2 year old daughter her first controller. She sits next to me when i play and mashes on her controller. I let her play mickey mouse illusions on my ps3 and she does quite well. I look forward to some epic game nights with her.

I am a female. Got my start way back on the Sega Genesis and haven't looked back.

My ex hated every time a new Halo came out. She always said it was a relationship killer. Then one day she watched while I played the campaign and Marty's brilliance sucked her in. She was hooked. She muddled through the campaign of Halo 3 then jumped into multiplayer. It took her a couple of hours and a few flagrant mouthfuls to get her spread about average. She's still blasting body parts across xbox live and tea bagging with the best of em. Go figure.

You'll find that there are a lot less girls on this site than there are online. On Xbox Live, there are plenty of girls. Most prefer not to reveal themselves through in-game chat due to heavy sexism from the community. Jeez. Now that I think of it, I haven't said a word in game chat in... weeks? Months? I play a lot of Call of Duty, and that community is so bad that I can't even say anything or I'll get harassed.
-
you've probably run into more than you think, most don't identify themselves because of all the retarded and sexist comments they get

Sausage fest ! Who wants to sword fight ?
-
The numbers seem very low. Female gamers are out there in much greater numbers. Most of you might not ever know they are there because they have a healthy mix of fear and wisdom in dealing with the random gamers. It's a shame, because some of the most dedicated, hilarious, and leader-ranking gamers are ones that you call "girl gamers".
-
How old are you?
-
>tfw my girlfriend and I play Blops 2 >mfw we see hundreds of GTs with girl names
-
I've heard of these "girls" before but I've never actually seen one. What do they look like?

Edited by Macguyvur: 7/4/2014 7:11:21 AMBoy or Girl.... How about Male or Female? Only "mature gamers" still refer to them self as boys. I'm just saying. It's kinda funny tho.

This poll says 88% to 12%, but I'm sure it's more like 95% to 5%

If you ever made your Spartan pink you'll understand why they hide there gender, plus they're a very small minority

Edited by addiecorps: 7/2/2014 8:49:57 PMMost of the women I know who play video games, I also know them in person
