Does this game require PS+?
As we all know, Destiny requires an internet connection. Does this mean I'll need a PS+ subscription in order to play? Apologies if this is a tired question, but I couldn't find it through searching.
Edit: So no one knows for sure then? Considering it hasn't been answered straight from Bungie, I'll assume PS+ is required which is really really stupid. Hope this isn't a common theme for games that require an internet connection. *sigh*

3 RepliesWe don't know anything for sure yet, as Bungie has not made an official statement regarding this particular question. My personal guess is yes, at least for PS4 (which it's required for to play [i]most[/i] games online anyway). PS3 may be able to play online with just PSN, but again, there's been no confirmation one way or another as of yet.

I would be surprised if you didn't need it for PS4. It would've been great though. And it's very unlikely you'll need it to play on PS3. *sips maple syrup*

If it does it will only be for the PS4. The PS3 will always have free online.

PS4 - Yes, as is the case with (to my knowledge and experience) all PS4 games. PS3 - No, like all other PS3 games. Bungie have not officially stated anything, but I don't think they actually get a say in whether you need to pay to play online on a console... I could be wrong though!

Good question. I think that maybe not, seeing as it's an online only game. If I'm wrong then there'll have to be a big sign on the box saying that PS+ is required.

While there's no month-by-month subscription fee for the game itself, you still need to pay for PS+ or XBL.

5 RepliesNo. Bungie said there will be no charge what so ever for the base game (maybe not Dlc) as the game itself is based around shared game or even if you play solo until you get to the tower

You will probably need it if you play in on PS4. Doubt you will for PS3.

7 RepliesI'm an Xbox user so I might be wrong but everything I've heard about PlayStation is online play is free. My friend has a PlayStation 3 and he has PlayStation+ and he says it mainly gets you into better servers and you get free monthly games.
