(An epic thread needs epic music^) Not asking for the best system ever, but the system you loved and which got you into gaming, and the game that did it. Me, N64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The music, the story, the annoying fairy.. Iv been hooked ever since.

Im not sure what my favorite is but I really enjoyed A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS. It was the first Zelda game that I really wanted to collect everything while playing. With all the secrets my sense of adventure and exploration was always present.

Pretty much a TON of N64 games, but the one that did it the most was Super Mario 64

Majora's Mask. It felt superior to Ocarina of Time in almost every way. The sense of adventure was still there, except it was larger. Instead of taking down Ganon(dorf) who just wanted to rule Hyrule, you're taking down a powerful deity that only craves destruction and pure evil. A being that goes around ruining almost everyone's lives in Termina, all while bringing down the moon to destroy everyone and everything. The side quests also involve more depth. When you look at Anju and Kafei's quest, it takes place over all 3 days (from the start of Day 1 to end very end of Day 3) and takes you all over Clocktown and various areas in Termina. You see a small child locking away her father because of a deadly curse put on him. Link relieves the man of the heavy burden he is carrying, and the father and daughter can now live in peace. The postman has been doing only only job his entire life and that is all he does (rigorously and very well I might add). When imminent death is upon Termina, he is tasked with one of the most important jobs he has ever handled, and afterwards he leaves Termina gleefully for the first time. The gameplay is also preferable. Instead of arbitrary and trivial items you gather in dungeons in Ocarina of Time that you only use once or twice (sometimes not at all) outside their respective dungeons (I'm looking at you Megaton Hammer), the items that are inside of Majora's dungeons are centered around the Bow, and each type of attack is used very well in each dungeon, and outside of them. Majora's Mask is easily my favorite video game of all time, and that probably won't change. It was a darker Zelda at the time, and I really connected with a lot of the townsfolk and had a grand time exploring the swamps, mountains, canyons and ocean of Termina.

Edited by Lunchbox1810: 4/12/2014 1:00:50 PMMy favorite alltime game has to be Smash Bros. Melee. I can still play that game for hours at a time. But system, I have to put the system that got me into gaming the Snes. Oh nostalgia....lol
