...the Covenant have bigger heads in Halo 4. It seriously looks like someone has pumped them up with air or something.

Halo has always had the sense that humanity is something worth fighting for, it would be easy to make it more angsty which is sort of what they're doing with Cortana going crazy and Chief getting his character fleshed out, but the overarching vibe needs to be optimistic.
