So, let's say I have a notification like the one highlighted in the picture. I have two replies to a particular post that I've made, and I would like to see both of them so I can know what people are saying about me behind my back.
I click on that link, and it links me to Jump Into Hell's Reply. This is fine and all if you only ever get one reply per comment, but here I have two replies to my comment. Giving me a direct link to Jump Into Hell's Reply only shows me one reply. This is a problem, because to view all the replies to my post, I now have to click on the "View all Replies" link, and then scroll down to find my comment to look at the full list of replies. That's a bit of a pain, but it's a problem that can easily be fixed.
Rather than linking you directly to the reply, Bungie.next should link you directly to the comment that is being replied to. As you can see, I can now drop down the reply chain and view all the replies to my comment, not just one, it helps when you're getting notifications for a particularly busy thread.
Your thoughts community?

Yeah, that's definitely a nuisance that your proposal would solve. And if rigging the site's code to do that is too much, then maybe we should just have separate notifications for every reply, each with its own link, that way no replies get "lost".
-
+1. I too have had this thought.
-
Yeah, that is a cool idea to tweak this great feature into being more awesome.
-
NYCC!!!!!!!!!!!

That'd be a really good fix, I hadn't thought of that. Another issue is notifications that do nothing when you click them. Namely message notifications, follower notifications, and (I think) *Like* notifications.

Edited by Anjin: 1/28/2013 7:57:29 PMGood idea. Sounds simple enough to change, too. Just edit the link it gives you.

Edited by Avants Garde: 1/28/2013 8:14:25 PMYou can click the permalink on your post, but I agree!
-
I think it should just show you the whole subthread. That way you can reread the whole conversation if you need to, without having to scroll down to it.

Support.
-
I think what this calls for is a private group dedicated solely to making fun of Hylebos
-
Yea, this has been bugging me a little, just a minor improvement.
-
Cool.
-
I think this would make things easier, so I agree.
-
Hey Hylebos, come join my Group, we can discuss this there. PS; JK faygo

No but seriously OP, you need to join that group.
-
Sounds good to me.
-
I support this idea. Wish I had said something first.

-
This!! Seriously!

Edited by threefitty350: 3/7/2014 7:46:45 PMSpearhead this charge please. Mobile users would also like this change btw! Currently mobile takes you to the comment, but if you have two posts that are replys to two different people it still falls under the OP and is hard to differentiate.
-
Agreeable. When I click on those notifications, I'd definitely like to see all the replies, not just the most recent.
-
-
I concur! Thank you for posting this, because I've been confused about what the actual problem was and had no clue how to say what was happening.
Never rip a tag off of a mattress.
-
Definitely, I've wanted that feature for a while.
-
Yes please. It's really annoying on the mobile app. When I click on one of those notifications, especially one replying to a long comment chain, it shows you that comment and your original comment, but that's it. Also, if you click the 'show more replies' button, it shows them, but not in the correct order.
