About the whole widescreen issue, I'm alright with it being a fix for a good FOV. But damn, I still HATE IT. With the processing power and the bandwidth of the graphics memory that 2 frame buffer is insignificant. The backgrounds are plain and HDR has been around for 3 years (Sierra dubbed it with HL2) - c'mon now. I plopped out 1100 for my HDTV to have that wasted space? Give us the f'ed up field of view, make us feel more special than those with SDTV's for god's sake at least give us a choice.
