well the books say in 2523 the SPARTANS were no older than 12. So in 2525 he was 14; 27 years later, in 2552 when the events at HALO took place, he was 41. hope it answers your question=] this new book sounds okay about johnson, but id rather they keep the storyline flowing and not go backwards in time. maybe they could throw in some flashbacks that relate to his past (very cool) and what happened in harvest but i think they should pick up where ghosts of onyx left off. they cant leave us hanging like that (like wtf happened to john in ghosts of onyx? and wth happened to "gray team" a team of spartans sent "far out of UNSC controlled space years ago but have not come back"??) esp. when this coming book HAS NO SPARTANS IN IT (the dude said so in his interview). while the covenant and UNSC forces provide background characters, the spartans are at the center of the plot. what kind of HALO book has no SPARTANS?!
