Well I thought you wanted to talk about the new maps??? So why don’t we call a truce??? I for one am excited about the maps. I like both Derelict and Hang ‘em High, though I am more excited about Hang ‘em High. The small to medium sized symmetrical maps like Warlock, Foundation and Sanctuary typically aren’t my favorite maps. I wish there were more maps like Headlong, Lockout, Ivory Tower, Zanzibar and Terminal…especially Lockout and Terminal…Hell, with as long as Halo 2 has been an online success you’d think they would have kept cranking out new maps until we had like 30 or so…I mean we can put a man on the moon but we can't have 30 multiplayer maps for Halo after 2 ½ years??? Don’t get me wrong, I'm very grateful that Bungie is putting out these two new maps especially with Halo 3’s imminent release this fall, I just think that it wouldn't have killed them to have put out a few more. I know a lot goes into map making, but they could just hire me, I would love to work on creating maps all day everyday, I’d even do it for only $35K a year…I’d make a map with a big crane that had a big net or something hoisting a bunch of big crates in the air, and you could go into the operators cab of the crane hit a button and drop all the crates on any unsuspecting people walking below and crush them…that would be cool...but I digress…. Bottom line is that Bungie made the right choice by making the new maps work with the old Xbox. If they didn’t do it this way then the whole Halo 2 multiplayer world would be split up between the beta people, the new maps on the 360 people and the same old maps on the same old Xbox people…that would have been weird…I wouldn't see some of my friends until fall… M.
