((Thanks for that, Cayote. And Kritz it would be good for you join into the story, anyways.)) It was yet again one of those hot days and for once no shipment of wounded had arrived, which was a releaf for Jon and Maria. Usually the shipments never stopped and about 3/4 of the wounded die because of the lack of Medical supplies. The real battle was far away but some incoming Pelicans were hit and crashed down so the Surgeons had to live with very little supplies. Jon wore his off-duty whites as he scrubbed some blood off his hands. His last patient had a plasma bolt to the stomach, and several shots of it too, which wasn't to good. Sadly the patient didn't make it because the plasma had made a critical hit to the lung and the Marine couldn't breath, he could of preplaced the lung, but sadly they didn't have new organs to do such a thing. He was gravely saddened by the death but Maria did her job and cheered him up, telling him that he saved as much lives as he could. Jon twisted the knob and the water stopped, the water, it was sort of like the blood, the blood that was spilt every day, but far more. But it would never stop because someone else would need to come and wash their hands. Jon sighed and wipped his hands so the water could fling off, he wasn't used to this, no matter how many times the Captain had said it. "you'll be fine" he said. "you'll make me proud" he said. It never really helped, if he could make him proud he would be there cheering him on, but no, it was a confermation that the Pelican he had arrived on was shot down later on by Phantom. Grr, how he did hate this, why couldn't all the fighting end, maybe the Covenant join up with the Humans to fight these so called Flood? Why? He didn't know and it wasn't his business. He sighed again and leaned over the sink. "All in due time." He remembered the words that wierd guy had told him. Master Chief, that was the guy, he wore the weird armor. Yes, Jon had met Master Chief and by the look of him Jon wasn't to impressed. Though the guy was his commanding officer. He sighed one last time and walked out of the bathroom. ((Interesting?))
