There is some good advice in this thread, some really, incredibly bad advice, even as a joke.
I would say the same as someone else did: get some exercise, get out of the house, go out running. Listen to music, no emo or heavy metal. Stuff like ska punk and reggae always cheers me up. A good sleep cycle is very important. Get up early, don't go to bed late. Go somewhere peaceful and just relax. Parties are okay, but don't overdo it and get wasted. You'll feel like -blam!- the next morning. NEVER go to a party unless you are in the right frame of mind, otherwise you'll just sit in a corner and get worse. Don't do drugs.
I had depression in the past, will do in the future. These things have always helped me through it, I hope they will help you too.
