"Brainwashing" really meant: The older generation played their music and showed the new generation. The older used the term "Legends" so the younger believed it. That is what happened to me; my Mother (who you [i]intimately[/i] know) had Guns 'N Roses, Nirvana, The Doors - all that stuff (even some Zep). I thought that was the pinicle of music until I went to the 2000 X-Games in Philadelphia and got my first tast of Disturbed: The Sickness on a demo CD. She took it away ("too violent") but my Father gave me his copy of the CD "under the table."
