I never change mine because people associate you with your avatar. If I suddenly changed mine out of nowhere, it would change how I am perceived- I’d be a different person in a way. I say this mostly because I’ve had people change their avatar on me in the past. It detracted from how I looked at them. I know it sounds a bit odd, but in my view, it's true.
