"WE'LL DO IT LIVE!" Today's Mail Sack in Real Time...

Bungie Community, It's been a crazy week for me. How about you? "What been crazy about it, DeeJ?" "Yeah, what are you working on?" "No kidding. What the hell do you do when you're not locking our threads?" Man, it would be awesome to be able to answer that. The things I am seeing are making me so excited as a gamer - and as the person that will help introduce this game to you. The magic being wielded behind the scenes here has been so intensive, that my usual workflow has been... interrupted. Celebrating the Tin Anniversary of Xbox LIVE was also a distraction. However, the mail must be answered. Thus, I am attacking it inline. As always, I cannot field all of the grounders you hit in my direction, so you're welcome to hit me with alternative interrogatives, if you like. For the next several hours, Bungie.net will be on my primary monitor. I'll have to share this exercise with a few other needful things, but we should (and will) talk. Ask me (almost) anything. And, check the posts in the thread for my fingerprints. [Edited on 11.16.2012 1:17 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: Lotekk Hey! My name is Brody. I am currently going to school to become a video game designer(life dream). One of our assignments this term is to get an interview with someone in the field that we desire. So I am looking for a video game tester, or designer, who could answer these questions for me. I'm very eager to learn more for myself as well. Thanks for all your help. QUESTIONS: What training and education did you have that lead you to this career? What other "paying your dues" positions did you hold? How would you suggest that someone break into this field? What is a typical entry level salary? are they any benefits? What graphic arts skills are essential to being successful in this field? What other skills or qualifications would help you get started? What do you do all day, everyday? What do you enjoy most about your work? What produces the most stress? Where do you see yourself going from here? Do you work independently or as part of a team? How do you get clients? P.S. Bungie is #1. You guys make some of the best games, but more importantly, you guys care about your fans. I hope to work for Bungie some day.
Slow down now! Pull up a chair. Have a long read.
