Halo 3 is not the next Bungie project.
Pete Parson has said Bungie will see how goes the Halo movie project and they will continue with Halo saga on the future.

that's true. he said bungie is planning two ways at the moment: continue with halo on xbox or xenon, or supervise the halo movie project. and he said probably they will go by the second way because they want to do new things.
