That link will actually answer you're 1st, 2nd, and 6th question, just click on their profiles for location. Do they get payed, as they said, not with money. But they do have power. Power is nice. You think they're wise? No one in their right minds would think they're wise if they knew them. Why, I'll bet that they can't even answer a new guy's question seriously! To become a moderator, you must either buy Bungie and tell them to make you one, or spend years posting usefull stuff and generally helping, play most of their games, be a god person, make god posts, don't trash the noobs, be respectful, etc... And even then, there are still a bunch of other factors that they consider, like do they like you and stuff. Basically, Bungie chooses their mods based solely upon their own prerogative.
