Posted by: MakaVeli4LIfe1 Well, there's always people repeating topics in the Underground, and that's understandable, seeing that a lot of these people are new And we all hear peoples cries for a search function, much like how the old Bungie.net worked, as well as a bunch of other sites But I think that if you include the search function, it, like The Chief in Halo 2, should have some new "tools" One of these, which is a pretty brilliant idea if you ask me, is that when you make a thread, the preview button acts more than just seeing how the result will be when posted. The preview button now acts as a search button, and will alert the user if the topic has been posted before or recently, showing the actual day on it's last occurrence and the page number it's currently on at the time of posting
You know what this tool's called? A Reverse Search tool. ;D It records what every person types in the Search each month for a website and tallies the numbers. Internet marketers pay good money for this tool because it allows them to see how many people are searching for what they're selling online, and it allows them to see what phrases/words they need to include on their website to attract the people that type for their particular phrase. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, or I'm not explaining it right, I apologize, and Ile move right on to what it's got to do with Bungie. With this Reverse Search tool, Bungie can record what everyone types in the Search, and will be able to make this list that MakaVeli4LIfe1 was talking about, according to what people type in the Search. For example.. I want to look up "Chapter Founders". Someone else types in "Chapter Funders". They would have gotten no results because they mispelled it. But with the tool, Bungie could redirect the mispeller to the same link because they knew what the person was trying to type in. Whud'ya think? ;D
