How about a mandatory Forum FAQ? I'm betting new members are as likely to read the forum FAQs that are in place as much as I read the instructions when I put together Legos as a kid. What about having an FAQ (complete with witty comments about the possibility of being flamed if they ignore it) that (I HATE to suggest this) pops up in a new window and won't/can't be closed [i]until[/i] it's been read?
