The problem with the old forum was that it was too slow. It required a seperate server just for the caching of it. And the reason it was too slow was primarily because of all the customizable stuff. So we're being careful this time, adding the customizably stuff only after we know how it impacts performance, not before. That, of course, isn't the reason why there are only 10 topics and 10 posts on a forum page. That's because I was going to bump it up, but a bug in the forum code prevented me from doing so. The bug will eventually be fixed (probably in a service release, though, not a quick hotfix). More than likely there will be at least 25 posts on a page, assuming performance is okay with that number. Don't worry about it - I want more posts per page too. I hate the 10 limit. :) Oh, and stosh can't do anything but moderate the forums and take credit for things. He didn't write the system.
