Man, that sucks. I expect to hear about a court case soon.. Though I am curious about one thing: How does having no stomach effect one's life?
Discuss.
Posted by: Stukka Bomb Diva Cool. Now read the rest I had to say
You, and about a dozen other people in this thread assume that she knew the drink contained liquid nitrogen. A picture of a drink giving off vapor is not the same as a warning given about the presence of liquid nitrogen. Dry ice is much safer in this regard, because it sinks to the bottom of the glass. And since it is a solid, people can comprehend the choking hazard even if they don't know it will burn them. The article did not state that she knew the drink contained liquid nitrogen. The bartender most likely did not warn her about the dangers of drinking the still effervescing beverage, or could have poured the liquid nitrogen too heavily. In either event, he is responsible for creating a dangerous beverage. If you would like to make the claim that she chose to get drunk, and couldn't comprehend the directions that is immediately countered by the fact it is illegal to serve someone who is that impaired.
