Teenager's stomach removed after drinking a liquid nitrogen cocktail.
Gaby Scanlon was celebrating her 18th birthday at a bar in Lancaster when she had the drink and began to feel breathless. She developed severe stomach pain and was taken to hospital where she was diagnosed with a perforated stomach.
Doctors performed emergency surgery to remove her stomach and save her life.

Man, that sucks. I expect to hear about a court case soon.. Though I am curious about one thing: How does having no stomach effect one's life?

Like the teen
What exactly did she do that was stupid? She bought a drink and drank it. What's stupid about that?
She isn't the one that is stupid, the bartender is the idiot.
True but she made a choice just as stupid by choosing to buy that cocktail.
When you buy a drink, you generally assume that it is safe to drink, right? If someone buys a beer, drinks it, and then tries to break the bottle over their head as a dare, then they are responsible for any injuries they get (because a reasonable person would expect to get hurt smashing glass on their head). But a reasonable person would assume that the cocktail they just bought would be safe to drink unless someone told them otherwise. If the bartender didn't tell the girl that their cocktail isn't safe to drink right away, then they were negligent.
