Support the Troops, not the War.

....can anybody bother explaining this to me? What I am fixing to say might be controversial. I do not support any type of war, thus how exactly can I support troops? In the military they break down your individuality and mold you to become one of them, ending your critical thinking and brainwashing you to whatever they need you to be, to fight in some pointless war that makes no sense. Why would I support the brainless indoctrination of thousands of people? I have respect for people in the military, I mean it's not easy choosing a career like that, and no doubt the conditions are tough and you could put your life at risk. I feel sad when I see soldiers funerals and stuff. I just simply...don't support what they do, at all. I do not support the war, and they are contributing to it, therefore I do not support them. Living in south texas this opinion is obviously very frowned upon. Just wondering if some of you see my point?
I agree... but I think in a certain context this statement can be true, but overall I would imagine it would encourage independence and further evolve one's leadership skills.
Why would I support the brainless indoctrination of thousands of people?
Be careful what you say... I'm a marine vet trained in armed combat... I can scope you out from [whatever that meme says]
And I am the king of scotland. But seriously, I mean I respect your role as a marine and stuff, along with anybody else in the military, but why do I have to "Support the Troops" I don't like war, and you guys are right in the middle of one, you made the choice to join and sign up, I disagree with it. Therefore I do not support you.
I was kidding... however, I actually would like to sign up and enlist in war. I was part of a collegiate ROTC program, and if you like boyscouts and hanging out with a handful of buds, well... you should probably go camping. But seriously... I wouldn't mind joining, even though I disagree with the war in almost any conceivable case... I would be there to help keep us alive and watch for each other's backs.
BINGO!!!!!!!!! It ain't about going over and shoving 55 grains of -blam!- you in someone's head, it's about going there and supporting each other so the body count stays low....if any at all. Defend your team and yourself first. Keep that mentality and you'll be fine, if you do join the Marines be aware that they will try to make you as thick skinned as possible....it's required since obviously Marines see the harshest parts of combat and they don't want people freezing up on them.
