Support the Troops, not the War.

....can anybody bother explaining this to me? What I am fixing to say might be controversial. I do not support any type of war, thus how exactly can I support troops? In the military they break down your individuality and mold you to become one of them, ending your critical thinking and brainwashing you to whatever they need you to be, to fight in some pointless war that makes no sense. Why would I support the brainless indoctrination of thousands of people? I have respect for people in the military, I mean it's not easy choosing a career like that, and no doubt the conditions are tough and you could put your life at risk. I feel sad when I see soldiers funerals and stuff. I just simply...don't support what they do, at all. I do not support the war, and they are contributing to it, therefore I do not support them. Living in south texas this opinion is obviously very frowned upon. Just wondering if some of you see my point?

 •
Posted by: DaBatman92 And here is another thought because someone is bound to say it "If you don't stand behind us, then gladly stand in front of us" Why does America still act like the Ruskies could invade at any given moment? I seriously doubt ANY country has the manpower or willpower to even come within 100 miles of our borders before we blasted them to hell. And don't misunderstand me, if we were invaded or aliens attack or something, sure lets blast them to hell. I'm just tired of blindly following something and not being allowed to ask "Why?" like "Why support our troops?" Yes you're a solider I get that, yes you spend a long time away from home and could possibly die, I get that. It doesn't mean I have to support the choice you made.
Ah, this one's easy...if anyone ever uses that phrase just ignore everything they have to say beyond that point...they're just full of hot air and don't know how to properly express opinions.
