Say goodbye to the plasma rifle?
So I've seen the Covenant Weaponry trailer.
Besides the horrible music the trailer has, I noticed there is no Plasma Rifle, which has been in every Halo game, so far.

343i did say ages ago that the Storm Rifle was replacing the Plasma Rifle. At first I wasn't all that happy about it. The Plasma Rifle was one of the most 'Halo-ish' weapons to me, but I can see why they'd change it. It appears to act very similarly to the Plasma Repeater, but with a bit more of a human look/feel to it. I have heard a lot of people complain that they find Halo's Covenant weapons too awkward to use because they seem so alien. I guess this is 343i's way of fixing this problem. I don't see it having much of an impact on the canon so I'm fine with it. [Edited on 09.25.2012 4:08 AM PDT]
