It's the best way to conserve Battle Rfile ammo. It's also more safer to use with the noob combo since you don't have to stay out of cover trying to get the headshot (when you're facing 4-6 Elites, autoaim can interfere). The Halo 2 Needler is the worst weapon ever. Almost impossible to dodge, enemies have bottomless clip with it. It's art is gone completely (reduced area of effect, no multiple supercombine, no supercombine on dead bodies) for the sake of a horrible function. The Needler should have never been made dual wieldable.
