Gah, four sgt Johnsons staring a me... :/
Posted by: FTW 1997 It is not necessary to have a sun, the forerunners could simply project artificial light. Just looking at [url=http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&pwst=1&biw=1366&bih=667&tbm=isch&tbnid=UaGFEWg12ttnXM:&imgrefurl=http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/04/23/the-world-of-halo-4.aspx&docid=1WbTvJ0IBQ-f3M&imgurl=http://media1.gameinformer.com/imagefeed/featured/microsoft/343industries/halo4/conceptart/resized/Halo4_Environment-Campaign-04.jpg&w=1280&h=762&ei=zMdSUNLeLZDPigK0g4DQCw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=175&vpy=164&dur=333&hovh=173&hovw=291&tx=162&ty=120&sig=111561662032867390265&page=1&tbnh=119&tbnw=200&start=0&ndsp=17&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:76]this you can see that the light comming out of the shell is too strong to be projected by a sun unless its really close to it. And we know that it isnt really close to it during the halo 3 ending.
It is probably a Forerunner lamp (kind of a boring solution, but none the less a solution). However, Requiem comes with a lot of other interesting questions to discuss.
