•
Posted by: xAT 117x Personally for me the best fantasy literature out there is written by David Eddings. I have every single book he has ever written (about 20 or so) and I've read them all at least 3/4 times. Despite this I have never met anyone who has even heard of him, maybe it isn't for everyone, but it contains brilliant writing, witty, funny and charming dialogue, gritty action, and compelling stories. My favourite book ever (this one), I would recommend to everyone in this thread. It is crazy good.
Just finished rereading The Belgariad for the umpteenth time, I have to take a break once in a while as their style (he and his wife pretty much co-write every book together) gets on my nerves at times especially in the Malloreon. Some all time great characters of fantasy though like Silk, Belgarath and (for me) Sadi.
