This thread will have some stories from the books "Scary Stories to tell in the Dark" and "More Scary Stories to tell in the Dark"

But he thought, "He doesn't know where I am, it won't find me." Then the groan again, but it was in front of his house. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" the boy tried to sleep, he thought it was just his imagination. But then he heard the front door open, and he heard the groan again. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" The boy heard footsteps slowly move through the kitchen into the dining room, then into the living room. He then heard footsteps slowly climbing the stairs. Closer the footsteps came. They were right outside his door. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" The do0or opened. The boy was shaking with fear. He listened as the footsteps moved closer through the dark room to his bed. Then they stopped. "Where is my to-o-o-o-o-e?" The voice groaned...[/quote]

The Room It was early afternoon in the hotel. The sun was already showing signs of it's coming dissapearance over the orizon by casting an amber light over the building. It was late Winter. Through the hotel doors a man entered. His name was Joshua. He paid for his room and the receptionist gladly gave him his room key for Room 21. He made his way through the wooden corridors until he had reached his room. Later on he ate in the hotel cafe and then walked back to his room. The room opposite his:room 20 seemed awfully quiet and Josh decided to take a look through key hole to see if anyone had been living there. He looked through and saw the room inside. It differed from his room as it had less furniture. Peering through the hole he could see two figures facing away from the door, one stared at a television that wasn't turned on whilst the other stared into the wall. Josh could not see either of their faces. Adter that he left to take a walk. When he got back he looked once again through the key hole but could only see a bright shade of red on the otherside tat covered the key hole completely. The couple must have known that he had been looking through, thought Josh, they must have used something red to cover up the key hole. Josh went down to the reception and asked the receptionist: "What's up with the people in room 20?" he asked. She told him that no one lived in room 20. The last couple that did had died due to unkwon causes. She said it was rumoured that their ghosts haunted the room, it was rumoured that the ghosts had very pale skin. And bright red eyes.
