It should be possible to know what armor ability your enemies have.[/quote]I like weapon variety too but the DMR owns the BR any time and well I think since it has been sometime since Halo 3 has ended the UNSC could have started on a new accuracy rifle project that can actually change fire modes. Plus since 343i wants to make this their game they could do this.
