Nativism is bad. Loyalty is good. Then we turn the people brought in by Destiny into loyal Bungie fans too.
I remember when I first poked around the forums on my now deleted-due-to-inactivity profile back in freshmen year of college. I didn't know -blam!- about Bungie. I was looking for rumors about Halo 2. At that time, there were two distinct types of members (or so was the feeling I got):
A) Those who came to Bungie.net through Halo: CE
B) Those who were Bungie fans from before Halo: CE
Group B was awesome in being nice, getting me to trying old school Bungie games, and filling me in on Bungie lore, traditions, and customs.
We are about to be group B - the pre Destiny people. Let us carry on the legacy. It will be even more important for us, because (I think it makes sense) that any new members who play destiny but never played halo will be on the very young side.
