Anniversary Panel!
In this, the week celebrating the fifth anniversary of the release of Halo for Xbox, we asked a few of our media chums what they think about Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 – and what they’re most looking forward to in the next installment. Oh and tomorrow? Boxors will be Roxored.

Coolness update and I'm on the first page too! w00txorz! *edit* I agree Jollyroger. Being able to play as other characters in mp (or even sp) would be great. I've thought of it before and I have a bit more to add to Claude's ideas. Perhaps when you are the Jackal holding left trigger could pull your shield in front of you, which would otherwise protect your left flank. Also when you are the Jackal and you drop your shield for a beam rifle then you should gain not only added accuracy, but also a sweet depletable speed boost activated by a certain button. Being a grunt would be awesome especially if only they could use the fuel rod cannon. Now that would be teh 1337 meat :D. Anyways the ideas which I've stated would be insane in competitive multiplayer so I wouldn't expect them in any ordinary playlists/gametypes. However it would be a nice feature just for fun, and it would contribute to even greater Halo player made films. Maybe you could have just one matchmaking gametype where you do play as different characters. Now that would be crazy. [Edited on 11/14/2006]

I loved everyone's responses. Most would have been my answers and some (mainly Louis) had some desires I hadn't come close to imagining. I didn't agree with some of the EGM guy's multiplayer wishes. Besides that...fabulous. NEAT STORY I also want my boxors roxxored.

Double melee and a fliming feature? Schweet! Note to Bungie: [i]Please[/i] give us the ability to save our Halo 3 gameplay footage on the 360 hard disk, and transfer it to our computer with a USB card! :D

please don't listen to the EGM peeps... they want random spawns and no ability to boggart power weapons... you know what that spells? everyone gets rockets (or snipe) all the time and there is no reason to pick up anything else. I know bungie doesn't put in the other weapons as just filler... so keep H2 power weapon control scheme and teams who don't get rox on bloodgulch just have to suck it up and fight to rip them from their enemies hands. if you can get the rox back with your "cr@p" weapons... then you will have the advantage. same goes for vehicles. EGM wants everyone equally capable at all times... but that's not Halo. Halo is about fighting for stratigic control of power weapons/vehicles... it's worked so far... if it is such a broken system why is h2multi the most popular on live TO THIS DAY!
