Why can't a forum moderators post be reported?

I very curious because there many times on record when a moderator has made an inappropriate post, but it can't get reported. Are all their post monitored by the web team or something?

  • They are in charge of the queue. You should read through this thread. Or this thread. [Edited on 01.04.2013 8:38 PM PST]

  • So when they DO make inappropriate posts, you can't complain about it by reporting. lulz. Seriously: They are long time members, know the rules by heart and have earned bungie's trust.

  • If a mod makes an unruly post, report it to a Superuser or a Master Forum Ninja.

  • Because a good deal of the posts moderators make would be reported (regardless of whether or not they were actually inappropriate). Making moderator's posts reportable is like asking for instant report queue abuse, and negates the legitimacy the feature in the first place. If you think a moderator has abused his post or broken the rules, feel free to send a PM to Urk or DeeJ, or another ninja with a link to the potentially damning evidence. They don't generally post things ban worthy thats not like them and they are forum ninjas for a reason. If they did they did the other forum ninjas would see it or us members would just send a PM to the Web team or other ninjas. But that rarely happens [Edited on 01.04.2013 8:39 PM PST]

  • Because anyone that is told by a mod that they are breaking the rules will report the mods, just for doing their job. It is best that we can't report them. Although, if you really do feel that a moderator has broken the rules, then you should message Achronos.
