To be fair to 343i, the halo "community" is nothing more than a bunch of neckbeards who can not, and never will be satisfied with a halo game until it tickles their balls and feeds them cereal as they play. The current game will always be a let down. The previous game will always have been better. Halo 4 is a piece of art, and at the very least, its a stepping stone towards greater things.

That's what you get when you take an Arena shooter who has had the same core gameplay for 3 games, and you add silly variables that change the complete fairness and equality out of the game that made it what it was in the first place. Reach was Bungie's "different" Halo game. Halo 4 should have been a sequel to H3 not Reach. If Bungie was in charge of Halo 4 they would have gone back to the Halo 1,2, and 3 type gameplay because they know that Reach was their spinoff. [Edited on 11.29.2012 6:54 AM PST]

Crazy, it's almost as if tons of other games just came out, or Steam just did a season sale, or it's nearing finals time for school. But I bet that stuff didn't affect it at all.

Kill cams is maybe cod, but its not in every gametype Stupid rank systems, it was basically the same in Reach, now they just added Spartan points Weapons like saw.- Oh snaaap!, its not like that the Saw havent been in other games, and it really dosnet remind me of our MG 42 saw, or whatever it name is, i dosent look like it.

So a ranking system is stupid if it actually encourages you to play? Wow. Now the SAW thing truly is stupid. That has been wanted for years now.

Finally, the top played xbox live games of the week came out just yesterday, I think, and Halo 4 is number 2. Oh yeah, the game is totally dying.

Halo 4 was innovative to the franchise in a few respects and I felt like it had much more Halo aspects to it than Reach fosho. Some of the levels felt as if the map setups were inspired by previous Halo games, such as the last one- it reminded me of Gravemind (Halo 2) and High Charity (Halo 2). Halo 2> Halo 3> Halo 4> Halo CE (haters gonna hate)> ODST> Reach and Wars (not saying I hate them, but the least favorable of the lot)

Not really a surprise, if you try to compete with "casualing" the game, you'll lose to Call of Duty, end of the story. I personally don't have issues with loadout system, gameplay in general or ordnance drops or other new things implemented, but lack of ranking system was probably reason a lot of competitives left, I personally put the game on the shelf until they fix the matchmaking, you can't play with friends unless they are exactly as skilled as you are. Game needs ranked/social playlists and party vs party, randoms vs randoms system in the matchmaking.
