After all the arguments about whether this picture referenced Bungie's new game or not, I think we can safely say it does.
So they've had the basic concept down since ODST. This will be good.

I saw this on reddit earlier and it blew my mind out my -blam!-. The fact that this little piece of art exists, and that they've had a core concept of their next project sitting right under our noses this whole time made me love Bungie all over again. Now I'm wondering if "Asklon" is just some random fictional company name they stuck there, or if it's another nod toward the upcoming game. Time will tell.
Asklon, or AMG, make the Warthog..... But considering that the Asklon logo is on that Destiny advert it must have some significance, and here is something else that is interesting. Not sure if the city under the Traveler has been confirmed but Nairobi seems to be a good fit, though it could be nothing and just filler for ODST.

Yes. And in retrospect, it's absolutely amazing how it was there. But I remember that as soon as information began to leak about this Bungie project called Destiny more than a year ago, that picture was quickly brought up. But only many months after that does it finally make sense what it all means. But the Destiny project can be traced all the way back to the announcement of ODST when Bungie had another soon-to-be-announced project that turned out to be Reach and a "project that was so far in the future that it was nothing but a star in the horizon". Probably not the exact phrase as it was said in the Weekly Update, but still, Destiny can be traced all the way back to 2008 and I wouldn't be amazed if it began since Jason Jones hopped of the Halo train. At least that's what the maps that have been part of the site background heavily hint towards. [Edited on 11.28.2012 1:09 AM PST]

We know Bungie loves the number 7. So... ...I'm not implying aything at all! Awesome that they hinted that early though!

Am I the only person who has known about this since like, forever ago!?!?
Posted by: DE4THINC4RN4TE Am I the only person who has known about this since like, forever ago!?!?
Nope. It was common knowledge amongst the people who were interested to find out everything they could about Bungie's next game as soon as Destiny related pictures started to show up (Bungie employees wearing Destiny shirts and all that). When I first saw the concept of art of the giant sphere, I immediately realized what that white little dot next to Earth meant. To be perfectly frank, I think both ODST and Reach might have little details that seem insignificant as of now and even more insignificant months ago. But as we get to know more about Destiny, those details will surface.

Asklon could be the alien race protecting the Earth.
