So...Just tried the DMR in Halo 4.
How can one say this thing is not OP?
Its EASIER to hip fire then the carbine.
And can be spammed easily..
Even if an AR could kill faster then it, this damn thing is the new "utility" weapon.
Anyways Flood, lets discuss 343...Do you think they will give into pressure and nerf/buff certain weapons?
Or will they just ban us for complaining?

The only weapon I have to complain about is the suppressor. It's just not strong enough. Other than that, everything else is pretty well balanced. I can't understand why people see the Boltshot as OP either. You already have a secondary weapon that can disable vehicles! And you're calling a pistol with terrible accuracy and a "shotgun" blast that's only useful when your target is 3 feet in front of you overpowered? But hey, It's your opinion, and that's just mine.

DMRs are so good because of the fact that they are good for longer distances, which a lot of Halo maps are like. BR is much better for close than the DMR.

Also, it requires a player to close the distance with a weapon that becomes -blam!- if an enemy starts attacking with a longer range weapon. Anyway, the issue isn't that the DMR is up, it's that the other precision weapons are UP. Make the Carbine a 7sk and raise the BR's fire rate a bit so it's the same, or at least close to the DMR's.

Yea I know, after switching to it from getting the BR mastery I go 2+ K/D in every match. I'm more upset by the fact that the BR and DMR is the only thing everyone uses, I hardly see Carbine Users and LR users are only found in BTB. [Edited on 11.21.2012 10:23 PM PST]

I use a storm rifle everywhere I go and do quite well. But ugh..If 343 doesn't announce a nerf soon I think I'm done. Least RuneScape is fun now! Lol, my most used weapon is the Magnum and I just think you're winging with no merit.

Meh, all it has going for it is better accuracy at range, and if you miss that one bullet you have no spread to clean up. BR still better, IMO. Then again, I AM a shotgun whore.

It seems that Halo 4 rewards turtling and camping over being aggressive but I guess most games with a broader userbase reward turtling. Maybe because it's easier to teach someone to not do things than it is to teach them to think fast/on their feet.

It has its advantages in some areas over others. When it comes down to it if you can hit your headshots and you pull that trigger as fast as possible carbine would win out every time. Yes it does less damage but its speed makes up for that. Besides swat I honestly don't see a point in using the br unless you can't do headshots too well. However, like I said each has its pros and cons. Even the dmr

Some of you people still defend the DMR huh? I USED it with my own hands, degraded myself for a good few matches. I beat everything with the exception of some DMR users. Now that said...I kinda want answers on how me and this ONE particular DMR user got in a 1v1 (I am using storm rifle) And my shields pop before I even get his shields half down. We both started to fire at the same time. [Edited on 11.21.2012 10:54 PM PST]

I think the Boltshot should be buffed and replace the Suppressor as the Forerunner primary. DMR is OP but it's not like that's going to change. [Edited on 11.21.2012 10:54 PM PST]
