How long would the Master Chief last against Batman?
The dark knight, peak human strength, incredibly intelligence, superb reflexes and all of his gadgets is going against Master Chief.
How long would the MC last?

Batman can swim.

Master Chief has shields that can absorb bullets. Batman does not. Chief wins almost instantaneously.

Chief would pretty much last in the fight right up until the point a batty corpse falls over and gets subsequently humped. Since the OP is [i]definitely[/i] being serious, let's add a serious response. Bane vs Batman (admittedly, I haven't watched the movie yet). Bane is extremely powerful, and is generally only defeated by taking out his soruce of power. Batman's intelligence is generally outmatched by Bane's strength. Bane is strong, but in comparison to Chief? With the latter's armor on, he can flip an elephant. And without it, he was still strong enough to accidentally one-hit kill an ODST as a teen. As for saying Batman is a master of combat and tactics, so is Chief. Only one of the two has been running strategies, pracgice war ops, and practicing combat since he was 5. And if anyone's going to say Batman has the money and gadgets to defeat Chief, then I posit that Chief should be allowed to bring his own equipment and funding into the fight. As in Halo 3 equipment along with basic tools he had in the books, and for the funding, the UNSC. [Edited on 11.18.2012 10:23 AM PST]

If you just randomly put them against each other in an arena with no preparation or anything before-hand, MC wins fairly quickly. But if you drag out the fight into weeks on end, Bats has a huge advantage, seeing as how he just happens to know how to beat basically everyone he ever sees in a fight. Straight fight with nothing else? Cheif Long thought out war between the two? Probably Bats.

In an unarmed fight? Master Chief. Armed, fully teched? Master Chief. Shields that can block bullets and explosions, armor that can survive reentry, strength that can lift a ton and smash through any armor, fast enough to outrun a missile, a lifetime of the most extreme military training and combat with various enemies, and weaponry that can tear apart the Covenant? I think he has the win. I don't think Batman could even get his shields down. Oh, and lets not forget motion tracking and an AI that gives him info on his enemies.

People, I hate to break it to you but neither of them are real - nor are any of the other fictional (key word: fictional) "superheroes". Besides, for all those quoting ridiculous lines from the comics which show how overpowered these "superheroes" are - it is pointless to do such a thing as obviously the authors are going to make the super characters appear ridiculously overpowered, whereas gameplay developers have a limit as to how tough they can make characters. Also, the authors of the halo books could've made chief sound ridiculously overpowered too. In conclusion, these versus threads are pointless.
