Black Ops 2 campaign, better than Halo 4? *spoilers*
After finishing the Black Ops 2 campaign, I have to say it is much better than Halo 4.
It actually has an interesting plot, for starters. Halo 4 was "crash on planet, find bad guy, try to stop bad guy, fail, try to stop bad guy, win". Black Ops 2 has decent plot twists, interesting characters, and a villain that is somewhat sympathetic instead of generic "evil guy who gonna kill everybody".
Black Ops 2 also has alternative endings/sequences where you can choose between two choices, which adds to the flavour. I'm not saying Halo 4 should have had them (because it wouldn't work in Halo), but it still an improvement.
The interesting side "rts" style missions were pretty cool as well. CoD actually added interesting gameplay sequences, instead of Halo 4's space rail shooter at the end.
I enjoyed both campaigns, there is no doubt in that. But Black Ops 2 had a far more engaging campaign. Seeing as CoD is seen a generic "soulless" game series, that's saying something.

Halo 4's campaign was nothing but pressing buttons and putting Cortana into terminals. Anything is better than that.

Oh my god no. The Black Ops 2 campaign was... good. At best. The problem was that it was so commonly disrupted by confusing bits of information that it had little continuity until the end. Which was also a letdown. (The one I got, anyway) It didn't even beat Black Ops 1's campaign, which is the best in the entire CoD series as far as I'm concerned except for maybe MW2's.

It was kinda odd to follow, as details would be thrown at you constantly. The original Black Ops is probably better simply because it had a much better continuous storyline, but Black Ops 2 sure as hell had some amazing moments.

Halo 4 is the start of a new trilogy. Black Ops 2 is...Black Ops 2. There aren't two games that are going to be connected to the story....at least there shouldn't be.

The campaign was a blast to play through, both for the story moments and the cool vision of the future they gave you. It felt engaging in a lot of parts, mostly the Hudson torture scene and the Angolan proxy wars at the beginning. But all-in-all, I feel that Black Ops 1 told a better story throughout. It sometimes felt like some of what BO2 was giving you was just kind of... pointless. Especially the whole Reznov and Krevchenko thing. Maybe it was just my playthrough, but it really didn't seem to have a purpose.

I didn't enjoy BO2 campaign at first, it was just boring, but it did really get good towards the end. I enjoyed Halo 4's all the way through, so for that reason H4 was better. BO2 definitely had the better story line though, as they had hollywood writers working on it, it just wasn't executed as well as Halo's was.

I thought it was great too; probably my favorite part of Black Ops 2. Zombies is also good, and I find MP to be boring as hell and unplayable. But yeah. Menendez is probably one of my favorite villains, the plot twist regarding Mason and Woods, switching back and forth telling two stories that intertwine. It was my favorite CoD campaign to date.
