Besides the damn man was trying to do his job but I guess she had too much ghetto in her and had to cause problems. I would have done exactly the same. If a man had come up to me and borderline assaulted me I would deck him. Why would I treat a woman any differently. Women want equal rights, they are going to be treated equally as well.
I wouldnt call it equality as so much the right to defend yourself. I mean secondly the guy is driving a damn bus being worried about this beatch in his face and he could easily roadkill some pedestrians. I mean he was going for that one knockout punch to end the threat. He wasn't wailing on her like a punching bag or anything.

Not bad, but if I were in his shoes I wouldve used less force. That is too much even for protocols.

The only problem I have with this thread is that you guys seem to be celebrating because a woman got hit. Not that someone got knocked the -blam!- out, but a WOMAN got knocked out. That worries me a bit. Its like you are secretly waiting for a woman to get punched so you can live out your fantasy vicariously through that driver. So what, he acted in self defense. I don't think that merits the "YES!" and "AWESOME"'s that you guys keep posting. I celebrate anytime ANY thug gets punched, be they male or female. You guys seem to want to see women get punched.
Posted by: Duardo Neither of them shouldn't have each other. They were both in the wrong, but the man was more wrong.
In my book, he is only slightly more wrong for allowing it to progress that far. She should have been put off well before that point. But, for defending himself? Not in the slightest.

Which is why I don't understand how this is a hot topic. Then again, I'm not one to find amusement in any type of violence.
Then how do you see men fight a lot? If you don't like violence why are you places where it happens?
Umm.. parties, bars, clubs. Just because I don't enjoy it doesn't mean I don't witness it. And no, I'm not going to avoid certain places I like going to because it may happen.

I love all the females whining to this. The man quote made it double as amazing.

I said it was a strong hit. And as for seeing other guys fight cool. It happens a lot.
Posted by: Teh Pink Wolf
Posted by: MyNameIsCharlie To the guys talking like women should not be hit: There are two schools of thought. One says that women are inferior, and should never be struck, because they can't handle it. The other says that woman are equal to men, and should be treated as such. I am definitely the second here. She threw a punch like a man, she can take one like a man too. The problem is that he hit a CUSTOMER, not a woman. But he was defending himself, and I hope a jury finds that too. Its unfortunate that some woman cost him his job, as I am sure the transit authority has a zero tolerance policy.
Defending himself? What?! Yeah she hit him, but she wasn't attacking him or threatening his life. When she done that he should have took her by the arm and throw her off the bus. I'm not saying this because she was a woman, and women should never be hit. I just believe that violence is never a proper or a mature way of going about things. The whole "you punch me, I punch you" crap only makes things worse when you can prevent the fight altogether.
OK fine. Like I said, pretty clearly, the problem is that he struck a customer. But if the man defends himself, in my book her has the right to. I know I wouldn't sit there and get punched.
