Borderlands 2 General Discussion
After getting the 1000/1000 on Borderlands 2, I still find things to do. While farming for legendary weapons can be taxing on my patience, it tends to pay off. However, I have found that drop rates in the game are ridiculously low. I killed Wilhelm for an hour and a half last night trying to get Logan's Gun. Before I got that to drop, I got Rolling Thunder....Twice.
What are your thoughts, do you think the drop rate is too low for legendary weapons?
One way you can get the drop rates to raise is to play with multiple people, but that makes the game annoyingly difficult, especially when the enemies are all your level or above (Playthrough 2.5). It gets to the point where I would rather play by myself than have the enemies feel like mini bosses all the time.
Again, agree, disagree, why?
Finally, nerfs. Does anyone think they should actually happen? It's cooperative play, so it's not a pvp issue, and if you want to give your self a challenge, don't use the strong item (did you always use mini nukes on everything in fallout?). If you don't like that someone else is using a powerful item, leave that session.

I [i]just[/i] finished my first playthrough earlier with Axton, and just got to Sanctuary on TVHM (and I got my copy on the first day, lol). I'm in love with this game. But yeah, I'm not out to weapon farm, I don't think I reached that stage quite yet. Myself, I hope I get luckier, because I did not encounter a single Orange yet. Also, from what I've played of co-op, I don't think the scaling is that bad, and loot drop then is adequate.

I'd just like to know if finding and killing Jenkins is actually that hard. I killed him on my 1st playthru without even trying to find him.

I love knowing that every time I kill a bandit, I'm killing the guy who voices Krillin from DBZ. Also Handsome Jack is played by the guy who voices Cell. WHICH ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE

I'm happy with the drop rate, although I usually play with at least one other person. I think Vault Hunter relics stack, not sure. Oh and definitely no to nerfs. No nerfs. That would ruin the whole idea of epic loot and being a badass. I mean just look at Diablo III.

I noticed this when Incinerator Clayton sounded like Dr. Gero and one of the Zafords sounded like a Irish Android 17. I did some research and sure enough. Over half the cast of DBZ is in BL2

The drop rates for legendary weapons should be low. It's more rewarding and feels awesome when you finally get a legendary weapon after playing the game for a long time. With the time I had with the game, I only got one orange ranked gun, and that was out of the slot machine. Soon enough though, as you level up and get stronger, your weapon becomes useless, and you're gonna have to set out to find another legendary weapon that will be even more badass than your original one, and you get the same great feeling as before. It adds replay value. As for challenge, I like having a tough time beating enemies, rather than soaring through the game without an issue. I enjoy getting to the point where I'm getting pissed, as strange as that may sound. [Edited on 10.08.2012 1:20 AM PDT]

"The B" should be nerfed. I'm all for cool gear but if you effortlessly solo Teramoruhus the invincible while using "the B" it needs a serious nerf.

Literally just beat my first playthrough a few minutes ago...Only took a total of 65 hours but weapon drops are where they should be, having orange weapons pop up normally would take out the whole fun of getting one

The game only recently came out. I'm not yet willing to seriously consider complaints that finding [i]all[/i] the rare items are hard. Maybe after, say, a few months at least? Good lord.

Well, I'm level 44 siren, and on my 2nd playthrough. I just need partners to go to the eridum mine and finish the game.

Wasn't really a complaint that it was hard, just more time consuming than it needs to be. Terramorphous and The Warrior both drop multiple Legendaries that only they drop, and out of the two of them, I've only gotten one of them to drop a legendary period.

I feel that the Bee shield might be nerfed, but the Sham shield makes an excellent counter to it.

This was a common complaint about Borderlands 1 After finding an Orange Dahl Corrosive pistol, I used it from 34->50 and it was still somewhat useful. This is the main allure of the rarity

One of the easier legendaries to farm.
