Why didn´t vehicles get removed from ranked matchmaking?
Or am I the only one thinking the warthog and the ghost are dumbing down ranked playlists?

Because they were only stupid enough to make all slayer playlists identical in Halo Reach.

It seems like they reduce the skill gap, but they really don't. Maps like Standoff work incredibly well with the whole problem of obtaining the laser in order to use your hog while suppressing the other team. In Isolation the Ghost can be handy, etc. Basically, they don't reduce the skill gap as much as you would think; it takes skill to use them well, or you're just handing an easy kill to the enemy.

Vehicles add another element to the game. If you think they reduce the skill gap, I dare you to play me 4v4 on standoff. I'd love to see you break 10 kills.
