Posted by: Jagdflieger But they're still the bad guys . . . right?
The Iranian people? No. The extremists and Ahminahadjacket? Yes. The sanctions will persist until the former kicks the latter out. Irony: The riots might make their currency drop further.
Posted by: Banned Yet Again reminds me of post WW1 Germany
Not quite. Iran's not dealing with hyperinflation.

People in the middle east riot over everything.
Posted by: Warrior Servant People in the middle east riot over everything.
You're right, here in the West we only riot over sports.
Posted by: Methew Quick off topic: If the WW1 victors never agreed to such heavy reparations and sanctions, would we have had WWII?
Impossible to say. Germans would have still been pretty bitter. Many felt like they had been betrayed and just thrown in the towel rather than fight until the end. There still would have been a depression I imagine. Well, maybe Iran should stop pissing off half the world and threatening military retaliation on anyone who looks at them wrong.
Posted by: CND AAA Beef Well, maybe Iran should stop pissing off half the world and threatening military retaliation on anyone who looks at them wrong.
That's a pretty gross oversimplification of the issue. Let me ask you, for all it's threatening, how many countries has Iran attacked in the past 70 years? Now think of how many the US has attacked . . .

Israel's policy is this: if you leave us alone, we'll leave you alone. An example of this is Jordan. Jordan leaves Israel alone, Israel leaves Jordan alone, they get along fine. Israel never even attacked Iran so I never saw a reason for the hostility that came from Khomeini and Ahmadinejad. Their nukes present no threat as long as you don't threaten them.
