We need to liven up the septagon
We need to pull together and make the septagon less boring. Plus less idiots come here.

[/quote] Exactly my thoughts. The Septagon is nice because of the lack of spammers. You can come here and not have to sort through the bogus and pointless threads. If we "livened" this place up, it'd only attrack more people, and more people mean more idiots. It's nice the way it is now.

The Septagon having slow traffic is actually a bonus for us. The more people who post here, the more attractive this is as a target for trolls. They want to hit the areas that move quickly because it will piss off more people. [Edited on 8/25/2004 3:26:50 PM]

I too occasionally enjoy the visual and aural delights of HBO. However, my 56k connection prevents me from enjoying it to the full extent. Sorry guys but I just don't like ferris wheels (too high), lol. I hardly go to the NM, it is the worst forum in my opinion. I thought the flood was going to be bad at the beginning, but apparently I am wrong. There is a thread that is created/bumped probably almost every 5 minutes on average. This place is the closest thing to the old underground besides The Arbiters. If something ever happened to The Arbiters, bungie just wouldn't be bungie anymore. Well I hope something new and wonderful comes to the 7th Colomn and fast, because I can hardly take anymore of this madness going on without punishment.

(Full disclosure: poster is full-fledged HBO fanatic) [b]HEY![/b] There's always a place there for good material somewhere, funny or serious, but there's no place for "crap" anywhere IMO. (Except the oubliette. And please flush afterwards.) Besides, there's a perfectly good forum for Halo stunts and stories over in [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/topics.aspx?forumID=7]the Library[/url]. That's the kind of stuff the Library was designed for! The biggest problem right now is keeping b.net neat and tidy. That means proper posts in proper places. For here, we should be looking at ways to improve b.net and promoting the Bungie community. We are doing some of the former, though perhaps the debate is a bit one-dimensional right now. We need to work a bit more on the latter here, ways to build the community as a whole. If we can work out some fun ways to integrate the different fan-bases, we could improve the entire board. That's on-topic here. Halo anecdotes, no matter how funny, aren't. And neither is the Ferris wheel. -- Steve'd like the bumper cars, though.

It really gets interesting when somebody like Achronos or SketchFactor make an appearance and ask something. Or when some kind of contest pops up. Right now the main topic of concern is controlling ilovebees craziness. Kinda boring but necessary.

You get out what you put in. I come to The Septagon to relax, have some time away from the spammers, and have some good conversation. If it was made more 'fun', as you put it, this place would become another NM. *shudder*. Besides, I am interested to know what you think would make it more fun. A Ferris wheel? Or perhaps some bumper cars.
